So chuffed. I am all organised the food shopping is being delivered tomorrow and everything else is sorted. To top it all I am feeling okay. Last year I was admitted to hospital on Boxing Day suspected sepsis. I should have gone on Christmas Day but I was determined to stay at home as we had an awful time on the run up to Christmas and I wanted to be at home. Anyway that is all in the past and things are looking up. Looking forward to eating, drinking and being merry. Watching films and reading a couple of books (hopefully, as have requested some for crimble). We have a busy Christmas Eve usually as we invite friends around for a glass of bubbly. People just turn up if and when they can so hubby and myself can be a bit worse for wear by the evening so we always have a chinese takeaway as who knows what burnt offerings we would make!
It has been a busy couple of weeks with the Aspergillosis Trust as we have been trying to organise a campaign for World Aspergillosis Day on 1st February. We have managed quite a bit but we keep thinking of other things we could do. We have to switch off so we are having our Christmas break and hopefully come back in the new year refreshed. Great end to the week though. Another £100 donated to the Trust and a letter from a drug company who manufactures anti fungals showing an interest in helping us. Nothing definite but we live in hope.
This is the artwork that will be on the rear of buses leaving the Putney depot from 7th January for 4 weeks. Keep your eyes peeled everyone and let me know if you see one as my next appointment will be after the campaign finishes so won’t be going up to London.
My song this time is a favourite as I am a bit silly where Christmas is concerned and I think the version I like the most is the Bob Dylan one. Gene Autry a close second.
So everyone have a smashing Christmas and I wish you all a healthy and happy New Year.
Take care and I will see you all in 2019. x
