‘Days’

This is one of the songs I want to be played at my funeral.  Morbid I know but it is one of my favourites.  This is one of two versions I love.  The original (The Kinks) and Kirsty MacColl’s version.  For once the cover is just as good.  I have always loved Kirsty MacColl sadly died too young.

Not been a good week for me.  One of those situations where you try and do your best but it is not good enough.  That is all I am going to say.  It has made me sit back and think I need to put myself first for a while as I have had my letter from Brompton and I have a long list of appointments and tests that have to be done and 3 consultants to see.  Hopefully, it won’t mean a short stay in the Chelsea Residence (Royal Brompton Hospital).  I don’t mind going in once a year and that has already happened so we will have to see.  As long as when the ‘Muddle of Medics’ have all seen me they talk to each other.  I think I should just have to go up to the hospital once and sit in a room and they come in one after the other rather than 3 appointments and then appointments for tests.  Wishful thinking I know.

I have a lot going on for the rest of this month and August, some good but mostly appointments, I will keep you all informed.

John, Andy and David have started their Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle and today is day four.  They are raising money for 2 great causes Aspergillosis Trust and Balerno High School Tanzania Project.  It is just amazing the amount they have raised so far.  Please sponsor them.  For Aspergillosis Trust go to https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=AndyDavidandJohncycleLEJOG&isTeam=true

Two lovely ladies who suffer from Aspergillosis have met up with them on their route and it is being followed daily on our group pages.  You go, guys, we are so grateful.

I had a trip out one day last week thought I would go to Marks and Spencers and buy some new undies (like you do) and ended up spending loads of dosh.  We have one of their superstores not far from us in Camberley, Surrey.  I can park right by the door and wheel a trolley around the store.  Walked in the door and there were racks and racks of items, it was their sale!  I am a bit slow where shopping is concerned because I do most of it online.  I can’t resist a bargain so I do go a bit mad.  The clothes part was a bit hectic so I got my undies and a couple of tops then went to the homeware.  It is amazing how much you can spend in a couple of hours.

I have had a couple of days making cards so I have a good stock and I intend being disciplined and make so many every day at least 10.  It is good therapy for me, like writing this blog.  I can sit and be creative and listen to music and just forget.  Really hooked on George Ezra at the moment so that is what I am listening to at the moment.

Take care everyone and Be Happy! x
