“Here comes Santa Claus”

Well not long now for Santa to visit.  I don’t have a chimney so I have a key outside with note to let himself in.

We are all ready.  I just have to make some sausage rolls in the morning and make the brandy butter.  We have open house tomorrow so need to make the sausage rolls early.  Shopping got delivered today with no substitutions or anything missing so everything is going to plan.

Plan to take it easy tonight and watch a bit of telly with the hubby after I have finished doing all my gunk in the nebuliser.  Legs are aching I think from standing icing the cake today.  I think my painful legs had nothing to do with the antibiotics just my old metal rods.  I don’t think titanium rods get rusty but that is what it feels like.  Age and cold damp weather I suppose.

All our Christmas pressies have been delivered so now is the time to eat drink and be merry.  One of my nephews phoned yesterday as he was celebrating Christmas early with his mum and dad as he is off to Italy today with his partner (who is Italian).  I think it did my sister the power of good as she had to say goodbye to her dog last week.  He was a magnificent Airedale Terrier called Bennett (named after the playwright who survived colon cancer like my sister).  If there was one thing I could change in this world is that dogs would live as long as their owners and died the same second as we do.  Her other son and his partner will be with her on Christmas day so I expect I will get another phone call.

Well, that is it everyone but to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and say that the raffle I have been talking about is up and running.
