World Aspergillosis Day is getting closer so it is time to start spreading the word. We have 2 weeks.
The Aspergillosis Trust Raffle is still open and raffle tickets can be purchased up until 20th February. The draw will take place in Switzerland at the 9th Advances Against Aspergillosis and Murcomycosis on 27th February. Go to https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/jillfairweather and buy your raffle tickets and see the fantastic prizes we have. All the money raised goes to help fund research, education and awareness of this disease.
Please remember to email me with your address so I can post the tickets to you.
We have awareness items that can be purchased through the website https://aspergillosistrust.org/awareness-goods/. You could wear a wristband, badge or ribbon on the day to show your support
We also have t-shirts
We would also like as many people as possible to post a selfie of themselves holding our support card and post it on social media on the day. If you see one of these photos please like and share. We have examples of our selfies on https://aspergillosistrust.org/our-supporters-gallery/
Download your selfie card at https://aspergillosistrust.org/submit-your-selfie/
Then finally we have our poster that has been sent out to medical, physiotherapy, nursing and pharmacy schools as well as numerous supporters downloading it to their own doctors. We have also sent it to all CCG’s hoping they will support us as well.
We have been working hard and we hope that as many of you that can support us. We need to keep up the fight. Rare diseases do not get the same funding so we have to be the voice so we are not forgotten.
Personal note. I am doing not too bad. No more strong antibiotics at the moment. I must admit I have not phoned for my results as I am coping quite well. I actually went to Sainsburys (other supermarkets are available) and did the weekly shop with hubby on Monday. First time this year. The metal legs needed some WD40 when I got home but other than that I am pleased with myself. Very sad I know but I enjoyed picking my own veggies for a change. Online shopping is great but so much nicer to pick your own.
We need your support.
Take care. x
